About Us

Grisdale Design was started in 2003 by Michael Grisdale to establish a studio/workshop that would design and build products for the consumer and industry. The focus being furniture and accessories.

Our strength is a furniture studio that knows how to design as well as engineer and build. From concept sketches to product completion, good design and problem solving is our passion. We believe in exploring, creating, and working with our minds and our hands to serve our customers.

Prior to starting Grisdale Design, Michael was at Ligniform, a company specializing in contract/residential furniture. His responsibilities included prototyping designs for Kallista, Kohler, Cabot Wrenn, and others.

Michael also worked with contract designer Terrance Hunt. At Terrance Hunt Studio, Michael produced custom pianos for Steinway & Sons as well as prototypes for Cabot Wrenn, Gunlocke, and Source International.
